Recently, beef and steak prices have risen due to the actions of intermediaries importing beef from South America, a region with a large cattle population. The vast U.S. market attracts the attention of major meat producers, and given the overall globalization of the market, one would expect prices to remain relatively stable.
However, the greed and unfair practices of certain intermediaries have caused significant market disruption, driving prices higher. Most importantly, many U.S. farmers have been forced to leave the industry, which in turn is having a very negative impact on the American meat market.
